We accept almost all commercial insurance plans. You can always check with your insurer to be sure we participate in your plan. We also accept Illinois Medicaid with the exception of Molina.

We will see girls that have started their periods and continue gyn care for the rest of their lifetime. We encourage mothers to bring in their daughters between the ages of 13 and 17. In most cases they will not need a pelvic exam. My nurse practitioner, Cortney, sees these patients to help them feel comfortable coming to the office and discuss any female health concerns. We are no longer providing care for pregnancy, but can assist with referrals.
A pelvic exam is an examination of the female organs. This is done with an instrument called a speculum inserted into the vagina to visualize the cervix. A pap smear is done by obtaining cells from the cervix. The pelvic exam is completed by feeling the uterus and ovaries.
No. A pap smear usually only needs to be done every three to five years. We recommend every three years.
